If you would like to send your current location to others, there are 2 easy ways to do this, one method is by using Google maps, and the other method makes use of the popular mobile app ‘Whatsapp’ application on smart phones.
Method 1: web
Go to google http://maps.google.com
- locate your exact position using the search of the Google maps
- Put the mouse on the exact Location and then Right click and choose : what’s here
- Google will display 2 numbers separated by a comma (see image below)
- Copy / paste these 2 numbers, and send
- The receiving party can then easily copy these 2 numbers and place them in the search of Google maps, and immediately Google will display your location.
Method 2: Smart Phones & Whatsapp
- For this method to work, you should have your ‘location’ enabled and turned on in your smart phone
- Go to WhatsApp, and open chat window with the friend you want to share your location with
- Touch attach > location as in the image below
